Coffee Lover
Today was my first time doing a coffee tasting in about 2 and half years so my palette is a baby again but…
I felt this coffee was a little bit sharper than I expected for a dark roast, more pull to it. I expected a little bit more body, more weight on my tongue especially after seeing other reviews. I am keeping in mind the drip method does tend to pull some of that body so other methods may lend themselves to that quality better. it did not linger for as long as other dark roasts I’ve tried before which was surprisingly nice.
After I tasted it black, I added my usual add ins to my morning coffee. It is not as strong as I’m used to but definitely has a lot more flavor notes even though they aren’t as “in your face.” It leaves something to be desired as far as aroma, dry and brewed it was a very dull aroma.
so overall, some pleasant surprises, some unpleasant but it is not a bad morning brew altogether.
