I haven’t purchased any whole beans from this roaster yet, but I did stop and explain that I was new to the coffee at home experience and playing with different beans and blends and grinds and what did they recommend.

The gentleman that helped me explain that they generally offer a lighter roasts, and what they had at that moment was a Guatemalan. So I ordered it black let it cool just a little bit and the first scent I picked up took me a little bit to place, but it smells like toast. Perfectly toasted bread. That sent came through as one of the stronger flavors after I took a sip. I’m also getting a little bit of citrus but nothing off the wall. Maybe even some kind of a stone fruit.

I still prefer the feel of my coffee to be a little creamier, so if I could I would totally add just a tiny splash of milk right now, but I could totally see where some of those flavors would be lost.
