Coffee Lover

Another fantastic hard lines coffee. My old Porlex grinder crapped out on me. Luckily I found an amazing replacement (An OEM version of the XeoLeo grinder). With the help of this new grinder and some tips from a channel on YouTube called “wiredgourmet”, I’ve had some ridiculously good Moka Pot coffee in the last week. In addition to the Blood Orange and Caramel notes listed in the official tasting notes, I’ve also tasted some notes of blueberries as well.
Results in the Clever Dripper have not been as impressive – I suspect it’s the new grinder, sadly. Reading reviews online, it’s a consequence of the grinder being good, ironically. That the tradeoff is “cleanness” over complexity/sweetness.
PS: While it’s possible to get great coffee out of this bean – it’s also easy to get bad coffee out of it. As the primary taste note is Blood Orange, you can easily get something more akin to bitter Orange Zest or Incredibly tart Sour Patch kids. It’s not a forgiving coffee and won’t be for everyone.
