My old vacuum pot is a lot of fun since it takes patience and a close eye, and makes fantastic coffee using the same technique invented when the drink arrived in Europe so long ago. It is especially fun to bring out the “chemistry set” after having friends over for dinner. That alcohol burner really saved the day when our power was off for three days last winter, too!
