After trying both ALPHA and BRAVO I couldn’t, NOT give CHARLIE a try.
I brewed this in a few different ways and each one brought out a different property of the blend. With no, single individual element jumping out or overpowering as a Latte but then a completely different story when it comes to Espresso. Which, I found to be very aromatic and quite bright to taste.
But in this case, I think it complements the sweetness? There’s an initial tartness, giving it a sharp and lively first sip, which is then followed up with a bold, lingering aftertaste.
As a Latte, it’s much more mellow. Smooth and easy in the mouth with a fairly mild/ medium aroma.
French/ Aero Press is completely different again with a much stronger taste and aroma followed by pronounced, lasting aftertaste. Not that you have to but, even after adding a bit of milk there’s a slight earthiness, well to me anyway.
There’s a lot going on with this blend and out of the ones I have tried, it makes CHARLIE my NEW go to for making a great Espresso
